King Embiid

Up against the King, the Sixers didn't even flinch. A king can't control his people when they don't cooperate after all...and LeBron James slowly found that out.

After the 76ers 138-94 win, there is a lot one can dwell on. Whether it is the 44 point differential or keeping the Lakers under 100 points, the game brings a lot of positivity to the season. Or maybe it was Joel Embiid's triple double, or a brilliant Tyrese Maxey. Regardless, the 76ers crushed Los Angeles in what was, according to CBS Sports, the worst loss LeBron ever suffered. (here

The week before, James became the first to score 39, 000 points...but you wouldn't have known it. His team was dominated by the hot 76ers ready to make a statement.

Embiid reached 11 rebounds, 11 assists and 30 points in only 31 minutes. Maxey reached 31 points and eight assists in only 36 minutes. James and Anthony Davis earned only 18 and 17 points respectively as a stingy Philly defense stole 11 balls. The Lakers turned the ball over 17 times compared to the 76'er's five. Philly drained 22 threes and quickly put away James and Davis.

Marcus Morris came off the bench and added 16 points while Pat Bev had six rebounds and 12 points.

This was exactly the win that the 76ers needed. they improved to 12-5, and although they are still competing with Boston, are tied with Milwaukee and Orlando in the Eastern Conference. They are in a much better position than last year. Last season they were 9-8 at this time. Although they rebounded, this start is crucial. Furthermore, the bench is showing more depth and the team is well rounded. Embiid's passing is showing improvements, as is Maxey's. This is a much different team than we've seen from Doc Rivers. Players are used differently, and the attitude is different. But most importantly, its better.
