The Harden drama gets uglier

   "Daryl Morey is a liar and I will never be a part of an organization he is a part of. Let me say that again. Daryl Morey is a liar and I will never be a part of an organization he is a part of." 

   This is what you would have heard if you were at the same Adidas event in China. James Harden's biting remark drew applause at the event, but disappointment in Philly. The former MVP was pretty salty with the 76ers after they ended trade talks. Harden wanted to head to Los Angeles, and now, seems to hate the Sixers more than ever.

  The trade drama really has gotten nasty, and is turning out similarly to the other ridiculous player empowerment incidents. As many have already pointed out, players have to much power to make their own decisions, which overcomplicate teams and the offseasons. Damian Lillard's trade request to only the Heat, and Ben Simmons' notorious antics are just two examples. 

  But of course, it doesn't end there. Because of Harden's comments, he's been fined $100,000. It really is pocket money for a superstar like Harden, but the NBA is making a point. Player empowerment has gone ridiculously far, and it needs to stop. 

   Honestly Harden is good, but not in his prime. Judging by his statement, he is fine with the 76ers, just not with Daryl Morey. But Harden has to be out of his mind if he really thinks the 76ers are going to give up on Morey for a spoiled player who might be good for only a couple more years. The Sixers want a good player if they do trade Harden, but all Harden can see is that the 76ers are hoarding him. 

    When Harden first came to Philly he was greeted with cheers, extensive merch, and billboards with his name on them. Unfortunately, this joy seems about over, and the Harden era is pretty much over. Philly fans are vicious, and soon Harden's name might be as infamous as Ben Simmons.
