A quick loss is minor compared to a productive 76ers' road trip

The 76ers fell to the Mavericks in a weak game in Dallas. The disappointment was real. Dallas is an highly overrated team, and are pretty bad considering they have Luka Doncic. Having Doncic on your team is basically a cheat code, and yet, the Mavericks were 32-31 heading into the game. And they shouldn't really be losing at all, especially considering their recent acquisition of Kyrie Irving. Joel Embiid, James Harden, and Tyrese Maxey all put up big numbers, scoring 35, 27, and 29 points respectively, Harden having 13 assists. But Doncic and Irving combined for 82 points and 82 minutes to take home a 133-126 victory.

That being said, the Bucks were on a 16 game win streak. Cruising atop the Eastern Conference, no team looked capable of halting their powerful offense. And early in the third quarter, it looked as if the Bucks would walk into the locker room with a 17 game win streak. The Bucks had danced to an 18 point lead and looked to end the 76ers the same way they ended all the other teams they destroyed. James Harden decided that wouldn't happen. He dazzled Milwaukee's home crowd draining five three pointers and guiding a fading Sixers team to a win. He finished with 38 points and 10 assists, barely missing a triple double with nine rebounds. Embiid added 31 points to the mix and the Sixers won a thriller 133-130.

And to continue their road trip, they took on the Pacers. For some reason, Sixers games versus Indiana are always high scoring, and this game was no different. An 147-143 win was helped largely by Embiid's 42 points, Maxey's 24, and Jalen McDaniels' 20. McDaniels is really affirming himself as a part of the Sixers' lineup, and may soon push P.J. Tucker out of a job. For what Harden could not manage scoring wise, he dominated on other sides of the offense. He mustered only 14 points but dished 20 assists. The Pacers' Tyrese Haliburton also had a nice game with 39 points and 16 assists, but could not lead his team to the win.

To wrap up their road trip, the Sixers took on Anthony Edwards and the Timberwolves. The Timberwolves are an okay team if you look at their record alone, but they only have one star player. Anthony Edwards in the center, the be all end all, of their offense. He consistently has good games, but when reviewing player statistics, the points are all produced from him. Against the 76ers, he generated 32 points and seven rebounds, but no other player had even 14 points. They aren't really a great team, and don't generate a lot of points in the first place. The Sixers on the other hand, do. Embiid had another dominant night scoring 39 points while Tobias Harris grabbed 14 rebounds. Maxey had 27 points and Philly won 117-94.

The next team on the schedule is the Trail Blazers as Matisse Thybulle will be back in Philly, hoping to get vengeance on his former team. Its up to the Sixers to make sure that doesn't happen.
