The Joker falls, but so does Embiid
When the Nuggets visited Philly, they didn't see what was coming. First off, they didn't seem to realize that Joel Embiid was kind of beast. They also didn't seem to realize that Embiid had a gazillion pieces around him to fill in his few weak spots.
And most importantly, they didn't realize that Embiid might still be a little salty. After all, Embiid dominated the season last year, and pushed his team into the second round of the playoffs. He was still a little mad at the Joker for stealing his MVP award.
So he took it out on the entire Nuggets team. Denver was not ready to face Embiid, and so he jumped on Denver's inexperience, as he often does to many NBA teams. He dropped 47 points on them, all while grabbing 18 boards and blocking two shots. He added five assists to his already insane stats. Harden dished the most assists, with 13, and also scored 17 points. George Niang and Tobias Harris both had 14 points, and Tyrese Maxey and De'Anthony Melton both had 13. Nikola Jokic did have a great game, grabbing eight rebounds, scoring 24 points, and he had nine assists. But his team was outscored 126-119. The 76ers were too dominant for the Nuggets, and Joel Embiid showed why he should have been MVP.

But it couldn't last. The Sixers were 9-1 in the last 10 games. But then, they couldn't survive Orlando's Magic. (that was a pun) The 76ers were up 10 points at half time, before giving up 42 points in the third quarter, and scoring only 19 in the fourth. They gave 29 points to the NBA's hottest rookie, Paolo Banchero, and gave him nine rebounds and three assists. Philly turned the ball over 19 times, and had way too many risky passes. They completely blew the game, losing 119-109.
Not a great game for the 76ers. But its okay, because Philly plays the Magic again today, looking for revenge against the team that snapped their seven game win streak.
