The Giants can't control the Eagles either
The Lions, the Vikings, the Commanders, the Jaguars, the Cardinals, the Cowboys, the Steelers, the Texans, the Colts, the Packers, the Titans, and the Bears. What do all these teams have in common? They all could not defeat a hot Eagles team with an offense on fire, and a defense ready to take the fire out of opposing offenses. (DISCLAIMER: Both the Cowboys and Commanders won one of two games they played with the Eagles)
The Giants were only another team added to the Eagles extensive list of 14 defeated teams. The Eagles are heading into the postseason with the best record in the NFC, and tied for the best in the entire league with the Chiefs. The 49ers were threatening the number one seed, but Philly shoved them out of the way and now have a first round bye.
That being said, the Eagles wrapped up the number one seed in probably one of the worst ways possible. Boston Scott punched in the lone Philly touchdown of the game, and they relied on five Jake Elliot field goals for their 22-16 win. Jalen Hurts threw a pick and was sacked three times. Their defense also allowed a brutal, physical 14 yard touchdown run to quarterback Davis Webb, and allowed and 25 yard touchdown snag to Kenny Golladay.
It wasn't terrible, however, after all they came away with the W. Even though Jalen Hurts didn't throw a touchdown in his return, he threw 229 yards, 95 of which went to A.J. Brown and 67 of which went to DeVonta Smith. Boston Scott was the biggest game-changer. Scott powered through the Giants line for 54 yards on only nine carries. Their defense allowed only 168 passing yards and sacked Webb twice.

Jalen Hurts's return was a little dissapointing |

Jalen Hurts's return was relatively disappointing. He completed 57.1% of his passes and and had 65.1 quarterback rating. Lucky for him, the two teams that he may face in the divisional round of the playoffs, are the Vikings and the Giants. Justin Jefferson has been so-so the past couple of weeks after starting the season incredibly, and the Eagles have beat the Giants twice this year. The Vikings defense is not ready to face the Eagle's offense, and Daniel Jones threw only 15 touchdowns this year and had a 92.5 QB rating. Not bad, but not great. Jalen Hurts threw seven more touchdowns and played a game less than Jones. Jones can make plays with his legs but, well, Hurts does that too.
The extra week will be beneficial to a still sorta injured Hurts. It should give him time to get back into the groove and hopefully power Philly to a Super Bowl.
