The Giants are trounced in the Meadowlands
The Eagles and the Giants have a habit of bizarre punts in the Meadowlands. For some reason, the history of the fierce rivals in all represented in Desean Jackson's iconic walk-off score in the Meadowlands. The bizarre punting didn't stop, as Giants' punter Jamie Gillan decided that a dropkick would work as a punt. News flash: it doesn't. Confusion rocketed through social media.
That was pretty much how the entire game went for New York. Miles Sanders had yet another career game, A.J. Brown had his tenth touchdown and surpassed 1,000 yards, and Jalen Hurts rushed for his tenth touchdown.
Hurts and Sanders shredded the Giants defensive line, and Hurts had a solid day through the air as well. Sanders rushed for 144 yards on only 17 carries, and made two trips to the end zone. He is really proving to be a patient runner, looking for holes and then finishing with speed. And naturally, Hurts rushed for 77 yards, a touchdown, and had a ridiculous 11 yards per carry. Boston Scott wasn't outstanding, but rushed for a touchdown and had a nice 5.5 yards per run. Hurts' legs weren't the only thing troubling the Giants defense. He tossed two touchdowns, and had a 109.2 rating. He completed 67.7 percent of his passes and did not throw an interception. He's only thrown for three interceptions this year, and has thrown for 22 touchdowns.

Miles Sanders had a day |
The Eagles defense allowed 22 points, but also sacked Daniel Jones seven times and held him to only 169 passing yards. They also gave up only 28 yards to Miles Sanders' former Penn State teammate, Saquon Barkley. Boston Scott also had a 66 yard kick return. (what is it with returns?!)
Of course the game wasn't perfect for the Eagles either. Hurts was sacked four times, and the Tyrod Taylor ran for 32 yards on 4th and 15. The Eagles were solid in their secondary, but did allow a touchdown from both Taylor and Jones. Philadelphia's defense hasn't been superb with the run game all year, and they especially struggle with quarterbacks. Jones had 6.5 yards per attempt and Taylor ran for 40 yards on only two carries.
But the Eagles did come out on top, and they came out soaring on top, the final score being 48-22. Next week they are facing a destitute Bears team who is literally one of the most weakest teams in the league, especially concerning depth. Darnell Mooney is out for the season, and Chase Claypool as well. Their leading receiver is Darnell Mooney, and he only has 493 receiving yards, and also, he's out. That means that Equinimeous St. Brown is their top receiver, and he has caught only 17 balls this year for only 280 yards. Their rushing leader is their quarterback, Justin Fields, as he has taken over their weak backfield with 905 yards. But Fields has only passed for 1,896 yards.
I could bash the Bears all day. Their best pass rusher has only two sacks. They are a disgusting team: which means that, if the Eagles win, nobody cares, but if they lose... A lot is on the line here. An upset would destroy the Eagles respect, and the Eagles have a lot of it.
