The 76ers never got into the game

Joel Embiid had a huge game against the Wizards. He poured in 48 points and 10 rebounds, but the 76ers couldn't clinch the win. The Sixers played one of their worst games all year, and no one could muster many points. James Harden did have 26 points and 13 rebounds, but De' Anthony Melton only had six, and Shake Milton only had one. All of the Sixers turned the ball over way too much and even Joel Embiid was stripped of the ball a couple times. Danuel House turned in a bad game, epitomized when he turned the ball over, and promptly fouled Wizards' Corey Krispert while he was shooting a three pointer for the and 1 opportunity.

It wasn't a great game, and the Sixers could never get going. And except for early in the game, the 76ers were never leading. They lost to the then 13-21 Wizards and made them look like an all star team.

It really says something about the team. Even if Joel Embiid has a ridiculous amount of points and rebounds or anything, it is useless if his teammates excessively foul or turn the ball over.

The 76ers win streak will be halted at eight, but they are now 20-13 and fifth in the conference. Two of the next three teams they'll play are the Zion Williamson led Pelicans, and Williamson is coming off of a 43 point game vs the Timberwolves. He is averaging 25.8 points and seven rebounds per game.

Williamson is great but Philadelphia has a weapon too, a weapon averaging 22.9 and 4.4 assists per game. One of the most underrated young basketball players who has embraced the city of Philly, who continually is showing up and shows for a bright future. His name is Tyrese Maxey, and Maxey highly likely to be back against the Pelicans. The Pelicans will have more than Harden and Embiid to deal with, they'll probably have Maxey too.

With the whole team back, the 76ers will probably be an unstoppable force that will be hard for teams to beat.
