The Sixers do whatever Sixers do
Words cannot describe the affect Joel Embiid is having on the Sixers. Literally. You call Joel Embiid amazing, awesome, phenomenal, stupendous, it doesn't do anything. Embiid keeps on having lights-out games, with or without Jame Harden, and Tyrese Maxey keeps on being Joel Embiid's lights-out sidekick. Joel Embiid is still stunning teams, as he had another three blocks to his incredible season statistics. He also had 32 points, 11 rebounds, and eight assists. He nearly had a triple double, but still, Embiid is starting off his season strong and doesn't look like he is about to fade. Maxey had 24 points, including three three pointers, and five assists...all in the first half! Maxey came out of the game with a foot injury, and is due an MRI on his left foot, according to ESPN insider Adrian Wojnarowski. Depending on how long Maxey will be out, the 76er's comeback season may be on hold. Not only is Harden out, but so is Tobias Harris and Furkan Korkmaz.
At the same time, the 76er's had a solid game against Giannis Antetokounmpo, allowing him only 25 points. Yes, Antetokounmpo had 14 rebounds, but at least Philly held him back. 25 points is a good amount, but not a great amount for the Greek Freak.

One of the highlights of the night for Joel Embiid... |
Don't be distracted by their record. Last year, they were 16-16 before hitting the gas pedal, and going on some winning streaks. They finished 51-31 and made it to the second round of the playoffs.
Maxey may be injured, but Shake Milton, De'Anthony Melton, and George Niang can all step up. Niang has evolved into a lethal sharpshooter, and shoots 45.3% behind the arc. He had four three pointers vs the the Bucks. And Joel Embiid is unquestionably the number one player on the team who can lead the team and do anything with the ball that he wants to.
