Eagles game preview
The Eagles are facing the Packers defense, and this might be Jalen Hurts' opportunity to boost his passing statistics. The Packers' passing defense is coming off of a game where they were utterly crushed: Ryan Tannehill threw for 333 yards, completed 81.5 percent of his passes, and had a 127.3 passer rating. He threw for an interception, but also threw two touchdowns and the Titans scored 27 points. That wasn't it. They allowed two touchdowns to Derrick Henry, one rushing, and one passing. They allowed 111 yards to rookie Treylon Burks, and seemed lost. The Packers defensive line had a much better game. They allowed only 3.1 yards per carry to Henry, and sacked Tannehill three times.
The Eagles' defense is hot, and the Green Bay's offense is relying on their rookie receiver, Christian Watson, to fill in the Davante Adams hole. Watson is good, very good. Watson has had 155 yards, eight receptions, and five touchdowns, in only the past two games. The Eagles' defense can contain Watson, as they allowed only 16 points to Matt Ryan, Jonathan Taylor, and Michael Pittman. Watson will have to put up with C.J. Gardner-Johnson, Darius Slay, James Bradberry, and screaming fans at Lincoln Financial Field. Gardner-Johnson, Slay, and Bradberry all have three or more interceptions this year and eight or more passes defended.

Expect Gardner-Johnson, Slay, and Bradberry to wreak havoc on Green Bay's receiving corps |
Aaron Jones didn't have a great game against the Titans, with 40 yards and only 3.3 yards per carry, and the Eagles have played the respectively well the last two games, giving only 3.8 yards per run to Jonathan Taylor, and 3.1 to Antonio Gibson of the Commanders.
Philly's offense the past two games has been sloppy. They scored only 17 points against the Colts, and fumbled three times vs Washington, and twice vs Indianapolis. It's the Eagles rushing attack that has been bruising defensive lines. Hurts has had 114 yards, averaged 4.8 yards, and two touchdowns, all on the ground, over the past two games. Miles Sanders has rushed for six touchdowns this year, and Hurts has rushed for eight.
Hurts and the Eagles have the advantage at home, and with A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith, Hurts can consistently throw the ball. The Packers defense is weak, and their offense if average. Adding up all these factors, it should be a solid victory for Philadelphia.
