Donovan Mitchell: Nightmare or no problem?

Donovan Mitchell got traded. The Jazz have seemingly started to hoard draft picks as they have not only parted with Mitchell, but also defensive master Rudy Gobert. Anyway, Mitchell is with Cavs, maybe filling the deep dark void that Lebron James left when he traveled across the country to Los Angeles. Scratch that. No one will fill that Lebron's hole, but Cleveland will definitely try anything as Cleveland was at the bottom of the conference in 2018, and only won 22 games in 2020. Last year they failed to     make the playoffs in a tight Eastern conference.

Is Donovan Mitchell and the Cavs a problem?

It's obvious that the Cavs are desperate to strengthen their weak team. Donovan Mitchell is an excellent way to do so. Let's start with his stats.

I love stats. Stats say a lot about players. And Mitchell has some good ones. A talented player, Mitchell averaged 25.9 points per game and 1.5 steals per game. He is very athletic, and he's a threat. He jumps high, steals balls like crazy, and makes some stylistic passes.

He also has some powerful dunks, which leads right into the Sixers' new forward Montrezl Harrell. Harrell most recently played for the Hornets and isn't afraid to slam the ball in tight spaces. He is a monster, and the Sixers have him.

Harrell is a player that can ease up Joel Embiid's workload. He's someone who can fill the position that DeAndre Jordan could not. He can play more and produce better stats, and hopefully will help the team win more.

As far as Mitchell is concerned, he is a threat, but probably not that bad. After all, Philadelphia is in an excellent position right now to take charge of the Eastern Conference. With the Celtics morale crippled after a weak Finals performance, the Heat lacking an important peace of their stellar roster in P.J. Tucker, and the Sixers looking stronger and deadlier than before, Philadelphia is a team looking like a Finals appearance. The addition of Donovan Mitchell to Cleveland probably isn't that much of an issue.
