How will the Seahawks survive?
With star quarterback Russell Wilson in Denver, the question stands out. How will a team that pretty much needed Wilson survive in a competitive NFC west division be able to reach the playoffs, let alone, another Super Bowl? The simple answer is...they won't.

It's not difficult. I'm predicting another losing season to follow their losing season last year. The issue isn't really the receivers. D.K. Metcalf, and Tyler Lockett hold down their positions. Neither is it the defense. Safety Quandre Diggs posted 5 interceptions last year, and Jamal Adams is nothing short of a beast on the field. However, like the 2020 Buccaneers, a team can be virtually perfect, except for the quarterback.
Flashback 3 years to when Tom Brady was winning all his rings with New England. The Jameis Winston-led Bucs finished 7-9 and missed the playoffs. The team actually finished respectably, the players doing a lot better than the team. Shaq Barret for example had 19.5 sacks. Chris Godwin had 1,333 receiving yards, and Lavonte David had 123 tackles. And if you only look for the positive, Jameis Winston did phenomenally, as he finished with 33 touchdowns, and 5,109 passing yards.
But unfortunately, we don't only look for the positive, and it should be noted that Winston also threw 30 touchdowns, and was sacked 47 times. He almost threw 2 interceptions per game. The point is, although the team did well, and had strong positions outside of the quarterback, as long as the quarterback position isn't well filled, the team will tank. They won't get into the playoffs, or succeed in the regular season. When Tom Brady came down to Tampa Bay, all their woes were ended in a single season.
The Seahawks' quarterbacks are: Drew Lock, Geno Smith, and Jacob Eason. Obviously, none of these players will fill the great hole left by Wilson, but none can even fill half of that hole. Geno Smith took over when Wilson went down last year, and did okay. He finished with 5 touchdowns and an interception, but isn't anyone that can fully take charge of the team. Drew Lock is coming off a season with 2 touchdowns, and as many interceptions with only 787 yards. Jacob Eason is in his second year, and his best year was his last year of college.
The Seahawks are a team in need of a quarterback, and they need one quick. In a competitive NFC west division, the Seahawks are already behind. If one of the quarterbacks they have steps up, then the team really shouldn't have a problem. The real problem is that all of these quarterbacks don't have great records themselves, and have a lot to prove.
