Bryson Stott delivers

Here's the thing. Ever since Bryce Harper went down with a thumb injury, the Phillies have needed all players to step up... and last night, rookie, Bryson Stott did just that. With 5 RBI, and batting .196, Bryson Stott proved his worth. He also smashed a three run homer in the 8th to take the lead and end a three game losing streak.
The Phillies had been trailing 4-3 for a since the 6th, when Stott hit his homer, and after that, the reigning champion Braves were unable to take charge again. Philadelphia won 6-4, and Stott led the way.

Actually, Stott's stats this year have
been pretty good. The 24 year old has 42 hits and 31 RBI this year. Also he has 7 home runs. Because of Bryce Harper's injury, the Phillies needed   players to step up. While Nick Castellanos and J.T. Realmuto have been a little disappointing, Bryson Stott is helping a team that hasn't been  in the playoffs since 2011 at least look like they are play-off bound.
Last year they finished 82-80, but as of   now, they are 4 games over .500. Yes, that doesn't seem like much of a difference, but keep in mind Bryce Harper is not playing, and the next three of the next four teams they play are the Pirates, Marlins, and Nationals. The best team is the Marlins...and they are 14 games behind, 4-6 out of their last 10 games and 45-51. Although they do play the Braves again, but if they play like they did last night...it shouldn't be a problem.

By the way...it might sound foolish, but being a die-hard Red Sox fan at heart, I must say that they did a pretty good job last night staving off the Guardians 3-1 and ending a 5 game losing streak.
